I’m currently writing “The bible II” where Jesus comes back and takes 12 disease ridden orphans back in time to stop one major historical event of each of their choosing. I don’t have a lot of the specifics down yet but I’m envisioning a lightsaber battle with Hitler.
Of the forces that keep sexism and racism alive, what percent do you think is standup comedy?
The thing about conspiracy theories and alternative press that expands upon them is that they are counter arguments to the original mainstream press story. To me, the nature of a counter argument makes it feel stronger because it is delivered after the original statement and can address that information as well as the new information. Because of that, it seems more aware. The fact that I feel like even a bad argument can sound reliable if it addresses the other side of the story makes me skeptical of stuff like that.
Can you imagine what mainstream press would be like if it took on the ‘us vs. them’ mentality that alternative news took on against mainstream press?
